Rare Earth Elements
There are 17 unique elements found on the earth that are classified as rare earth elements (REE). These include the 15 metals in the Lanthanide series plus Scandium and Yttrium(which have similar chemical properties). They are used in hundreds of applications and products. We can analyze them in a variety of matrices with the proper techniques. The list of elements is as follows:
